She’s still doing very well – healthy and happy, playful with a good appetite and seems to be settling in fine!
Misty and Peaches still have some issues – Peaches pretends to ignore her except when she accidentally sees her, then she lets out this low growl from the back of her throat. But otherwise she just stays away from Coco. Misty, on the other hand, is extremely interested and spent most of yesterday just watching her. No growling, and she was doing so well and seemed so interested, sniffing the kitten, that I let her come quite close. Mistake, because she swiped at Coco and hit her in the head! But, that’s all normal, they just need time to adjust.
I’m letting them get near Coco if they want to, and keep an extra close eye now to make sure they don’t hit her. Coco is confined to the study at all times, to make Misty and Peaches feel the rest of the house is still theirs. And as soon as I close the study door behind me, locking Coco away, those two are fine, cuddling with me like there’s nothing wrong. I have full confidence they’ll adjust to her just fine!
Now, some more photos!
And, of course, some video as well – certain aspects of kittens just can’t be captured in photos! (click the little HQ button on each video to see them in better quality)
