Nothing Less bio picture

Hi there!

And welcome to my blog. I'm a Dutch girl living in Northern Ireland, 7 years and counting now. Freelance web developer and designer, currently working free-lance at a local photography studio. I love photography and Apple Macs and my three cats, Misty (camera shy), Peaches (poser), and Coco (the baby). Not necessarily in that order! :)

More Coco

She’s still doing very well – healthy and happy, playful with a good appetite and seems to be settling in fine!

Misty and Peaches still have some issues – Peaches pretends to ignore her except when she accidentally sees her, then she lets out this low growl from the back of her throat. But otherwise she just stays away from Coco. Misty, on the other hand, is extremely interested and spent most of yesterday just watching her. No growling, and she was doing so well and seemed so interested, sniffing the kitten, that I let her come quite close. Mistake, because she swiped at Coco and hit her in the head! But, that’s all normal, they just need time to adjust.

I’m letting them get near Coco if they want to, and keep an extra close eye now to make sure they don’t hit her. Coco is confined to the study at all times, to make Misty and Peaches feel the rest of the house is still theirs. And as soon as I close the study door behind me, locking Coco away, those two are fine, cuddling with me like there’s nothing wrong. I have full confidence they’ll adjust to her just fine!

Now, some more photos!

And, of course, some video as well – certain aspects of kittens just can’t be captured in photos! (click the little HQ button on each video to see them in better quality)

Meet Coco

Meet Coco
My newest baby! She’s a 5-week old kitten, found in an abandoned litter of kittens with several siblings who’d already passed away. She was rescued, and when I met her 6 days ago through a lady who works at the vet next door to my work, I just fell head over heels in love, and couldn’t resist when I heard Coco didn’t have a home.

She came home with me today, and is now fast asleep behind me on the couch. Misty and Peaches don’t quite know what to make of her yet – Peaches growled at the ball of fluff suddenly walking through the living room, and Misty seems just curious, but, just give them time! :

More photos because she’s just SO cute!

Rotterdam

My mom and I spent a day in Rotterdam last week. The weather was glorious, sunny with plenty of clouds in the sky to provide photographic interest. We took the train to Blaak station, and walked all along the river in a big circle to the city center. It was lovely and I took many photos – Rotterdam will always remain one of my favorite cities.
