Arrived back home in Belfast last night! The flight on Saturday from Helsinki to Amsterdam was fine and non-eventful, and same goes for the flight from Amsterdam to Belfast on Sunday. I spent one night at my mom’s house, spent some time with my brother and finally got to meet his girlfriend, so it was time well-spent! ;)
I’m still working through more photos, but I finished uploading the best ones I took in Tallinn, Estonia. Such a beautiful city! Now I only have Friday and Saturday left to do!
I’m about a day behind with processing & posting photos – but here are the ones from July 15 – when we visited Helsinki’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral, and the Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. Both were gorgeous, and the weather here is still unbelievable – hot and sunny!
My mom and I took a 3,5 hour boat cruise to the small town of Porvoo, Finland, today. I was hesitant, because I hate boats (I always get sick), but it was actually really awesome and pleasant! The weather was great – actually, it was kinda hot! IN FINLAND, I KNOW!!! And I didn’t get sick at all. The Finnish coast was gorgeous, and the town of Porvoo was awesome and SO picturesque as well. Very tired now, but here are some highlights:
I’m blogging this from our hotel room in Helsinki, Finland! My mom and I are here for a week on a little city trip – arrived on Saturday and we’re leaving on Saturday too. We’re taking a boat cruise to Porvoo tomorrow, and to Tallinn, Estonia on Thursday.
The weather is lovely – 20-22 degrees and sunny except for some rain this morning! We have free WiFi in our hotel, so I’m uploading a few photos to Flickr every day – keep an eye on it! Here are some of my faves so far:
